Introducing Laura Mohi

Introducing Laura, the powerhouse behind Wild Pilates. Wild Pilates is an online pilates studio, home to classes filmed all around beautiful NZ. Laura shares more about this journey, and her daily rituals that transform her everyday.
Tell us more about Wild Pilates and how you got to where you are today.
Wild Pilates is my online Pilates studio, which has 500 classes and we love to film our classes in nature (hence the name Wild Pilates). Before the online studio Wild Pilates was an in person studio in Newmarket and Remuera.
After 5 years of owning studios, we decided to focus solely on our online studio once this got big enough after its launch during lockdown. The flexibility of this lifestyle allows us to film so many new classes in different locations and help make Pilates more accessible to a lot more people.
We’re loving the new challenges, experiences and new clients this current phase of Wild Pilates has enabled.
What are your all time favourite go-to pilates exercises?
I love core exercises and glutes. I don't think you can go wrong with a shoulder bridge sequence and an advanced core series using the Pilates ball.

Where does Daeli fit into your daily ritual?
I love having a large bottle of water with Daeli with me on every filming morning - it really helps with my hydration. On an office day I have Daeli around 3pm to get me through the arvo slump.
What is one thing you do to transform your day?
Move my body and get outside before I start the day. I always have a better day when I move my body first. If this really isn't possible and I need to transform my day I will fit in a quick nature walk or 10 minute Pilates blast to change up the energy in the afternoon.

What is one non-negotiable daily ritual?
Moving my body is number one but I also love to start my day with lots of water and a protein smoothie before making a decaf coffee.
